I am a Beatriu de Pinós postdoctoral fellow working at the University of Vic on the effects of land use and climate change on invertebrate communities in temporary ponds.

My research is aimed at understanding how the intraspecific component of biodiversity contributes to ecosystem functioning with a particular emphasis on freshwater ecosystems. I am especially interested in the ecological and evolutionary causes of intraspecific variability and how human-induced environmental changes can modulate the interplay between intraspecific variability and ecosystem functioning.

Key words: freshwater ecosystems, functional ecology, intraspecific variability, trophic ecology, stable isotope analyses, global changes, ecosystem functioning, morphometric analyses,  multiple stressors
